Wednesday Wins

In order to let our heart wins over our mind, one way to do decluttering of the physical environment is to do a little breakdown.

For example, you could set aside 3 different time frames, 3 weeks, 6 weeks and 9 weeks. Then put the things that you intended to clear away but couldn't decide when you could let go willingly and easily, classify them into these three different time frames. 


You could try using storage boxes or different drawers or large carton boxes to divide your home space for this purpose. Then label them with the 3 different time frames. Put the things that you can't decide to throw away immediately into these storage places. 

When the time is up, go through the things in the 3-week storage and decide. If you have not touched them for 3 or 6 weeks, most likely you are not going to use them anymore, not to say those from the 9 weeks. Then you would not throw away things wrongly and can be more decisive.
